Weather

Well, Saturday and Sunday we spent outside clipping calves for county and Ft.Worth in 78 degree weather.  Monday the high was 35 with
light drizzle.  Today we woke up to frozen everything and snow on the ground.  Does it do crazy stuff like this anywhere else? 

No, we just have the snow, ice and everything frozen for weeks on end.  Be thankful for your warm days!!  We finally got a nice, balmy day of 8 above--at least we're above zero for now!!    It looks like they've had some really cold weather up in JIT's area again lately.  Its hard to believe there's a whole other country to the north of us!!!

As we say up here, we get 7 months of winter and 5 months of poor sledding. It is supposed to warm up here over night. Next 14 days looks above normal with temps between 20 and 35 F. I'll be taking my shirt  off!

I bet when it got up to 8° you put on your speedo and spf 50 didn't you.

We got ice in Dallas/Ft. Worth last night so be careful if your going to the Ft. Worth Stock Show today. The roads are a mess. Ice or snow shuts our city down.

Two different times when my middle son was showing at Fort Worth and needed to be home Friday night to play basketball we got iced in at Fort Worth.  I probably saw 500 wrecks before I got to Vernon and my pickup weighed twice it's normal weight. 

We have almost 3 inches of sleet and 10 degrees here on the farm this morning but the sun is shining.

as of now everything is cancelled. Have been forbidden to stick no more than nose out the door. Slipped on ice yesterday & don't want no more!

for me it is sad that I wanted to go back to denver because it was about 40 degrees or so warmer there than at home.  (clapping)

Okay!  I will not complain any more.  How do yall keep water to your stock?  We are back to 68 to day and I will be darned
if I didnt go home for lunch and our show pigs were swimming because of a broken pipe.....just another day.

How did you know I've got a speedo??  You been peeking again??

It was a balmy 3 above here this morning when I went out to do chores.  That's the first + morning temp I can remember in quite a while.  I guess  we had a couple of them when we were in Denver but I didn't get to experience those.  I do agree with Mr. Davis, though, -25 when we left for Denver-- +50 to 60 degrees while we were in Denver-- came home to -15 and a week of subzero temps.  Why the heck didn't we just stay in Denver??    I guess I must be Norwegian or something worse!!

By the way, I said I was going to wear my speedo, suspenders, boots, & hat  if the weather ever got warm, but my wife and daughters said, if I do, I either won't be getting back in the house or I'll be living alone when I do!!  Man are they a bunch of funkillers!!  Maybe I'll try it when they're not home and surprise the UPS lady!! 

No, don't ask for pictures!!  I can't stand having that many women hanging around all the time!! 

I talked to Austin on his cell, he is without power for a while down in Arkansas.  Also my sister in Tulsa said they have canceled school the past 2 days.

we are running a generator today. school is canceled the rest of the week, this weather stuff sucks

And yet We have maybe seen 2 inches of snow since October :'(
