The feed mill tells me that Honor Show Chow is replacing their Finishing Touch with a new product called Full Range. I can still get the FTouch for this year only and by special order only. It will take 2 weeks to get any in to the feed mill in the future, but the Fitters Edge and Full Range are in stock at all times.

It seems to me that Show Chow is replacing a steer feed with a heifer feed and then asking us to buy the High Octane supplements to get the feed back up to a finisher ration. FTouch has 13%protein  5%fat  12%fiber. FRange has 12%protein  3%fat  17%fiber.

Anyone else been feeding Finishing Touch?

Full Range is a great product that is new to the Show Chow lineup.  Its designed to be a year round feed that will feed with more body and fill than any of the previous Show Chow feeds.  Even though it has 3% fat on the tag it feeds with a lot of bloom.  We have about 35 head on it down here and love it. A couple recent winners were the reserve overall at Houston. The Hereford of Allan's at Houston. The champ simmi at San Antonio.  Also cool thing is it has Amaferm built in along with all the other additions that the Show Chow lineup provides.

I understand your concerns regarding the Honor Show Chow feeds. Yes, we have added a new feed to the line up, a Full Range, but we have no plans to eliminate the Finishing Touch product. The show steer product lineup has been and will be evaluated on a quarterly basis and manufacturing and stocking levels are determined.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at : [email protected] or Zac Blount at [email protected]. Zac is the show feed specialist for the southwest.
