I know we all like to sell that high dollar calf or win that purple banner, but yesterday the weather was so nice and I had so much fun with my kids it gave me time to reflect.  A wise wise woman we called Red once told me that this is what raising cattle is all about.  I think my pictures will describe what she meant.  Just look at there smiles ect.

With all the fussing and fueding we do with each other, I think this is one thing we can all agree on.  Raising cattle gives kids a better view on life!

Thanks, guess I just miss Red this morning!

What I'm trying to say though...We have all been fusing and fueding so much lately.  Let's just remember we all have a common goal in common...good cattle and good kids.  I know I'm guilty of it sometimes that my posts come across harsh, but let's all think before we type.  Not everything has to be an attack.  Let's respect opinions ect.  Kids are on here looking for a source of knowledge even a roll model, let's live up to it perhaps.

WOW I'm melodramatic today sorry

Amen, amen, and amen again! As much as one loves to win, I think so many times we, AS THE ADULTS, forget what the kids are in it for.

ABSOLUTELY!  My grandkids keep me going.  I just hope I'm setting a good example for them to live by.  There isn't anything more precious than kids & livestock.

It went to all your memories, not to something like jail time:)  It went to learning hard work and ethics, not mastering a video game. It flew by because you were busy and together not home alone yearning for someone and something. At least that is how my mom puts it in perspective for me sometimes.

We sure are a lucky group of people!
