if you truly have a Purebred Chianina heifer what are her blood lines? She may need some downsizing. can you post a picture.

My suggestions are:
Northern Improvement
Juneau
Copyright
GCC Old School
The Answer
Pitch Black

All Caving ease, Great chance of a live calf and most would make good replacements if you decided to go that way.

Are you talking about Widener's Pitch Black or Sheppard/Frye's Pitch Black?

What are you breeding for? Replacement females or terminal market/ clubbie?

Goldmember is half Simmi I think. You would could go down the percentage Simmi route if your cow was registered. did you register your heifer?

Heifers- Sure fire proven calving ease you can't miss. Look forward to seeing your heifer.

Grizzly IMHO, and I've been around some of them on 1st calf heifers, is not a heifer safe bull. Most will require strong assistance. FYI

I didn't know that Pitch Black was thought of as CE being out of Meyer 734.

Personally, my choice with the breeding, would be Northern Improvement.

Cab, to tell you the truth I posted Bulls that were clean and listed as high caving ease, he has 4 stars. The other bulls I new a little more about.
The daughters they sold all looked like they would make good cows. I was looking for a Sim-Ang with high calving ease to give some options. We have never used him.

I guess I was lucky, the heifer we have that calved last month missed on AI to Grizzly and had a nice 70+ calf out of the cleanup bull with no problems and is growing like a weed.
