Alpha - The Bojo is due Saturday. This will be her second calf and I'm a little nervous about it because her back end is large..
well its saturday is she going to make it
Nothing has happened with her yet. Probably should induce her if she goes too much longer.

anyone have any info on boyd beefmaker calves?

Yep, they have some fire to them!  By far some of the worst ones to break I've dealt with.  When they do break they aren't that bad....thankfully!

This year I was hopingfor more hfrs, and that's what we did to start off with.

Got a really nice bald face hfr from our Lady's Man by Full Moon -- she is just waht I wanted, I will hate to let her go but I think she will be worth quite a bit this fall -- might have to lt some one else own her.

Had a pretty nice hfr by Monopoly from a Last Call daughter -- smaller framed and marked up -- all in all a real nice hfr.

Will get some pics of these two soon, as soon as the new one I had today is going good though. Here is why I am excited.

The fall of 08 I had a Red calf by MIle High Max sell up at the Nelson's sale, he was good as most of you will remember. I bred that little UNo daughter back to him last spring -- and she calved this morning. This one is ALL black, huge boned and hairy -- about 20 pounds bigger too though. MASSIVE is the only word that fits -- absolutely sound and huge boned -- will not be going out as a bull -- too big. He is a dream come true for me -- this cow really seems to hit with the Max bloodline, she is an Uno-Chill Factor-Foreplay. I need to flush her for myself -- she is that nice.

I will give him  few days to get going and post a few pics, I am flat excited, some of you might want to get in line early -- I think he will be very impressive this summer and fall. YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!!

I have seen Terry's calves and they are flat out good! His calf out of Mile High Max is hoss, he was by far the stoutest calf I have seen at such a young age. Any one wanting a calf that compete this fall and next summer need to look him up!

I'd tell you a little bit about the heifers, but I'd like to get one of them bought so maybe after I decide which one I want!  <beer>
