I generally pop in once in a while to read all the great posts on Steer Planet, but this time I am wanting some opinions from others.  I have a small September 2008 Hard Core heifer out of a Maine-Angus cow.  Does anyone out there have any ideas on what they would use on her.  She is really a baby-doll, very feminine and correct.  Like I said she is a small heifer and I want a very low birth weight bull.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

OCC Legend is an easy calver, works great on heifers.  He is a very moderate framed Angus bull that we use to reduce frame and add style on some of our simmental heifers.

I bred mine to Smokin Joe.  If she did not have a 1/4 Chi/Ang I would have bred her to Triple X.  I like some Chi in my calves but not too much.  I have three real heady heifers that are 1/4 Chi.... hopefully they will have 1/8 Chi calves that are not heady.  We go back to one of the bulls that really did a geat job with style and structure, but they all are a little to more than a little heady.  Sugar Ray was his name.  As I age I want more gentle cows....  Bouncer would also be a good bull.

Do you want to stay Maine?
If not you have a quiet a few options with bulls.
I have seen a few Major's Money that were small at birth and were pretty fancy as they grew.
I am a big fan of OCC Legend and Northern Improvement. They are consistently good easy calvers. You are able to get replacement females and saleable calves.
