I actually just talked to Tree Lane Farms on Hobart because he is owned by them, as well as GCC but he is dead. They had some great females out of him on a sale on CWCattlesales.com. Saying they are not recommending him for use on heifers, but says they are coming 65-80#s and every semen catalog has him listed as a calving ease sire. Also siring a ton of muscle and prettying one up making his steers extremely valuable. I know that the IL State Fair Champion Angus Steer was a Hobart. I have been taking a hard look at this bull because i have liked the heifers i have seen out of him.
