I hadn't seen this video before........  we used a son of Leroy, Wolf Willow Pilgrim 9P, and I see there is a grand daughter in the Hilltop Classic.

i love that bull.  covers his tracks nicely (which considering how long he is, is impressive), nice top, long, long hip, good muscle expression. i love watching his hocks move as he walks.  love the last scene.  wish more videos had that.

if the angus breed were probably to fault him it would probably be on volume, or at least the appearance of it, which is probably deceptive due to his length.

When the Semex crew were here to buy the world semen rights in Major Leroy, they called him the most structurally sound bull in the entire Semex sire line-up ... of all breeds. Leroy did a wonderful job here, and he is now gone, and I really miss the old boy. His daughters are now proving his worth as they have some of our best calves again this year. His last set of calves from natural breeding were born in 2012, and they may be our best set we ever had.  He had the best disposition of any animal we ever owned, and he passed this on to his offspring. Here are a couple pics of him on pasture as an 8 year old.

That video was shot after he had been in stud for many months. If you are wondering about his capacity, I think the pasture pictures show that he had lots of it. He was about as easy fleshing as any animal we have had. Semex sold semen around the world and thousands of doses of his semen were sold in Brazil. Semex told me that more Leroy semen was sold in Brazil that all the other Shorthorn sires combined.

Yes, lots of Leroy semen were sold in Brazil. I own some calves by him. Early this year sold a bull by him, red color, 2 years old and 700 kg. Very muscled. Good feets ans good walking bull. Have a three years old heifer by him, crazy temperament, but well muscled too, will inseminate him on november, maybe Alta Cedar Lad's Legacy or KInnaber Leader 9th. Saw many good calves by Leroy in Brazil and suggest the breeders to use for add muscle on thin lacking back animals with Winchester, Enticer blood. Good bull. Could to be white or roan!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
