It takes more than color to make good females.There are several bulls that will add color if show cattle are your goal.I know that anything other than a white face will be discounted in the real world.The Shorthorns usually breed for solid colors but the wild colored ones if good stick out in the show ring and bring top dollar.I would be more concerned about udder quality,uniformity,maternal traits,and fertility.I love the showring and the many friends I have made from showing but many times balanced traits are not in the winners .
