Like them both. I would be a bit less cautious, with the volume you have bought I don't think you would get a very good representative sample on more than a few cows.  I like to get a minimum of half the group in calf to a sire I am testing.  Your figures will be more meaningful. JMO

They say they are but I think it's most imperative to keep in mind that many foragers are higher energy than many grain rations.

That Poseidon bull might be the best Shorthorn Ive ever seen.  I spent two days researching importation regulations after seeing his video about a month ago.  The shipping and quarantine it's not near as much as I thought-- the purchase price on the other hand..

My opinion only:  I like the top bull, but nothing extraordinary about his photo or video to put him in a must use group for me.  I really like the 2nd bull, though.  Probably wouldn't trade the one I have for him, but might be willing to try him on the next generation.

Are those bulls all forage developed? Wish I could go to Australia and see them.
Most of the sale bulls are developed on forage oats and as it gets into spring will have seed head developing so would be pretty good feed. End of August is a good time to visit with Yamburgan, Futurity and Marellan  selling in the same week and Dunbeacon the week after. Think I might send dad over this year.
