The ASA commercial acceptence committee really needs to look into to this,  i believe that the 1st few breeders that can produce commercially accepted black shorthorn bulls is going to be a sell out , as in selling out every bull they can produce

Little off subject , but what are your current mature cow weights?  And do you have a mature cow mature weight goal?

I believe the simmental association did a fund raising deal by donations to help cover the cost.....

Ive posted this comment before , ive called 3 bull test stations about sending  purebred shorthorn bulls,  got laughed at every time. I mention these stabilizer bulls out of Apostle and the laughter changes to people listening about these calves and are willing to have them entered in a bull...

Had a guy thats been a commercial beef breeder for 50 years said birth weight is the  biggest issue. Hes happy he has a what he remembers the shorthorn used to be type bull now

Leachmans $ Profit a operation could build a awesome group of cows out of that index alone also

Bar C K in Oregon used just the simmental associations API index less then 10 years ce bw and all the simmental associations epds were balanced dont need 5 indexs just 1 if its the right one

Look at Leachmans  $Profit figure , it takes everything into consideration,  thats part of why i believe they are 10-15 years ahead of the industry
