Should blackdiamond, aka kfacres being allowed back on? POLL - VOTE HERE

all those usernames were from the same account.  I didn't know it was breaking the rules by changing user name, figured if it was- it wouldn't have been allowed by the system. Another one, let's not forget was 'another lying shorthorn breeder' Fight fire with fire.

    Best Ear Tag Marker?

still the best. use a different tip, I always start out with the fine, and after awhile, it turns it'self to coarse. Also keep them warm, and shook.  If I'm outside, put in a pocket close to the skin-- seems to work better. I tried a different brand once, wasn't anything better than a sharpie.

    Okotoks and jamie

since, I'll be gone in less than 24 hours anyways, why hold anything back? I thought the one cow was pretty skinny, and that isn't a picture I would be promoting.. course, if I would quote Jamie correct, maybe it's because she put everything she had into her first calf... cheers

Theories on backwards and upside down and backwards calves

maybe shorthorns and clubbies should come backwards---  they slide out so much easier..  triangle, instead of a chunk of wood

    A.I Bull Advice

Under a Char-- that is the ideal cross IMO for profit.

Theories on backwards and upside down and backwards calves

induced labor extra size, too much to turn into position twins

    Breeding for longevity

This is a show cattle website, I thought only show cattle things were discussed.  I could care less about bision, I was comparing them (the conversation) to cattle, show cattle especially.  If you pump a show heifer full of feed, like most do, and don't calver her until later-  is she not...

    Breeding for longevity

Depends on how much it cost to get there...  Which is what some of us point out time after time....  yet, we get critized.

    Breeding for longevity

If a cow doesn't calve until she's 4, but lives until she's 11-- what's more profitable- her or one that calves at 20 months and lives until she's 8 or 9???  It takes way more money to grow out out before she calves, than it does after she gets into production.

    Breeding for longevity

This heard had 10 shipped last summer in the drough b/w 13 and 18 years.  The old girl was a sad day...   Oops, shouldn't have said that... I'm sure they were bred at 12-14 months of age.

What to do with this calf? Thoughts?

Just have to know the genetics at hand. In the true linebreeding operations, they can tell you on day 1 if that animal is unique or herd builder status...  Too bad that the crossed up mongrels can't do that.  Personlly, one bull pops into my head as should have been a steer-- was actually...
