Used Capiche  for the last 3 years on heifers and even used him on smaller framed 2nd calvers.  First year average 77#,  second year 75# and this year I would estimate the same.  Have had a total of 16 calves over 3 years.  Only got 1 heifer the first year and she just had a calf sired by JSF...

Does he have patches of hair rubbed off?  If he hasn't been wormed and de-liced in awhile I would get that redone. 

We started using the  breaking halters.  Ones with the O ring. The halter releases quicker than a regular rope halter and calves seem to learn faster to give in to pressure.  Worth the little extra money over a regular rope halter. 

Prell Shampoo.  This shampoo has been around for ages and Ladies with silver or gray hair used to use it all the time.  Cheap at the dollar store.

Was this bull original registration name PLM Blanco?  I noticed under the progeny there are only 5 calves registered.  Has the bull not been used that much?  I really likes the looks of this bull and was thinking of using him on some black shorthorn plus cows.   

Another trick I have tried when drying is to blow the hair backward and/or straight up first and then blow or comb forward.  It helps some.  You have to continue to experiment depending  on the direction of the wave.  All I know it is challenging and time consuming.  Totally agree with all the...
