i'm confused, isn't that what cows are meant to do? Raise calves?  Honestly if my cows can't raise a calf and breed back why have them, especially with feed costs being what they are?  Can you elaborate further on this subject, would really like to hear your thoughts. thanks.

It's no more ethical then a November calf being a January 1st.  Unfortunately there will always be people who do these things.

I had a first calf heifer bred to him, she calved a 54 pound heifer.  The calf is growing, and looks thick.

The blood testing works great for me.  It's been completely accurate.  Of course I know when my cows are bred, so If it comes back pregnant I know how many days bred they are.  I got to see two cows ultrasounded at my friends place, it was really neat to see the little calf on the screen.
