Just curious...has anyone seen any good Tryon calves? I can't say if I think they're good or bad because I Haven't seen a single one. He was born in 2007.
I guess I get a little concerned about the air flow of the barn you have designed. I see where you have the two doors to the outside but I think that it could be pretty stale feeling on your other isle.
I didn't have any big ones out of Style. Mine are all straight angus. I know his BW EPD went up but the calves we've had are shaped to come out. I used him on heifers and will continue to do so. Like JWW said, they do have excellent hair!
Style will clean up fronts, give you a cool look, and give you excellent hair. I would just make sure that you breed him to a stout cow. I used him again this year and will continue to do so. I think he may be better at making show heifers than his sire.
My wife just got a Bionic on Saturday. I really like it. You can do so much with it. We both have droid phones and a galaxy tab 10.1 and they just work together so well! The Bionic has better specs than the iphone. Go get one!
When I have one due in the fall I always hold them for a January calf. Usually my cows fall back to the fall when I'm flushing them. I usually flush them after they fall calve as well and stop when I can get them bred for a January February.
Andersons won the Angus Junior Nationals with a Dameron heifer. I haven't seen her for a while but she was wicked the last time I did. The Bloomberg heifer is also really cool.
Well, I don't put fans in the tie-outs but I usually use misters. I wonder what their reasoning for this is. Looks like my hand fogger will be getting a pretty good workout.
