We also have a dairy steer class and a dairy feeder class. they both out number our beef classes. There are probally close to 80  market dairy steers at our county. I live in mercer county ohio.

We have found out that using shaving cream works the best for us. It really calmed our market heifers hair down last year! Good Luck!!!

This bull sired our supreme champion heifer at our county fair and she was division 1 champion at lima last year. We bred the same cow back to her again her bull calf was high seller at the sale. Big butted and lots of hair

We had a sunseeker heifer last year that had same problem. Brush down when wet and use a roto brush on him at 45 degrees. It worked wonders on our heifer

We used a roto brush all summer on our heifers and it really made there hair pop!!! would never do with out it. We also used it this fall on all of our calves for the sale i think it made a huge difference in the hair quality.
