Possibly try putting the chain halter on him, then put the rope halter over the chain halter. Use the rope halter as your working with him. This may get him accustomed to the chain halter. Best of Luck!

I thought the steer show was great. Dr. Shike sorted out the cattle effectively and gave each kid a fair look. Every champion and reserve looked the part. Also, it was beautiful weather throughout the show. If I was to change anything, Fort Worth needs to think about weighing all of the steers...

The Shorthorn is a cool dude. Very balance and heavy muscle which is very impressive for a purebred shorthorn. The baldy is big bone and looks very stout. Can't tell really on the picture but he looks like he is also pretty neat. They will be very successful.

Yea, you first have to registered the dam and sire, then you will be able to register her. Probably will be around 20 bucks per head to register.

I also think its lice. This is the time lice come out and make the steers scratch, itch, and rub holes in themselves. We use Cylence pour on insecticide for it. It eliminates both biting and sucking lice.
