I have a calf that we banded the first of August that is going to a show this weekend. The bag still hasn't fallen off. Anything that I can do to accelerate the process?
The shorthorn in him goes back to a cow that my sister showed when she was in 4H. about 20 years ago. I think she was on the farm till she was 15 or 16. So I am not sure. This calf is out of a grand daughter of that cow.

My grandfather started using Limousin bulls on shorthorn cows in the 70's. It makes a tremendous cross. The calf you are directed to go see above is an Alias calf out of a cow that is 3/4 limousin, 1/4 shorthorn.
She is looking great. Lots of body and pretty decent thickness. I wish she was a little cleaner fronted. We are working on getting here ready for the county fair.
