    problems with calf

that calf was most likely stressed pretty good before birth because of the foot being back; when that happens you can get some oxygen deprivation and even when the calf is born and survives, there can be some brain swelling and that results in a lethargic calf or sometimes you hear them referred...

    Help!!

I have carried a metal scotch comb at times and if they come towards me with their heads a tap on the nose with the sharp ends of the teeth will take care of aggression; then they don't have to check if you have a stick in your hand or not.

Will beef industry transition away from corn?

we have fed milo to cattle for years; it is the crop that we rotate with from corn....in each field, corn one year, milo the next. milo does what corn does; cattle like it; have to know how to use it but it is good feed. so we sell corn, feed the milo to cattle.

    Pinkeye revisisted

I do have to disagree with you...... we had one calf alot the same as the one that prompted this thread; had patched the eye, given shots, eye got better then after the meds were worn off, the eye got bad again, so went through all that again, same result. Then I was told by another purebred...

Blaze face Simmy Cow A.I. 'ed to Fat Butt *Pics Up*

that calf is marked just like that old bull Buck was; I am really disappointed with so much white like that.  In our country, the commercial guys would never buy a bull with so much white; white on legs is very bad when it comes to marketing. I had two Cut Above calves last spring; one out of...
