During the girst part of calving in the fall we feed at 5pm when i get home from work.  For the most part calves are born during the day. In the later part of the calving season we switch with the ti.e change and feed in the morning.  We see more night calving then.  My cousin liked to feed...

Nice looking calf. You say working on moderate cows, does he sire growth and added frame size? Does he add thickness or leave them similar to what the dam looks like.  Have you used him on any hot commodity bred cows??

I don't think their in business anymore but camp cooly ranch used to wean all their calves at 90 days and put them in a feedlot.  They did it because it was the only way to get the cows to rebreed in their environment.  Seemed pretty crazy to me. What's the cow for at that point?  If it works...

Oakview,  unfortunately the 112E bull died at the end of the breeding season. A week before i went to pull bulls.  So far i have 4 heifers from him bw from 87-69# and the 206E bull 1 heifer at 65# when the smoke clears( can only see about 200 ft for the last week) and the evac warning is lifted...

I agree on the color! Not what we ar typically looking for but a good looking bull.  When do you expect calves?  What is the pedigree on him? 

I think mating him to stout DS carrier females might make some nice replacements.  I have the same concerns as you and am wondering how his progeny turn out.

Anybody have or seen calves by him?  Epd's suggest he could be a good calving ease bull.
