Hello everyone,
We finally managed to get our herdsire Lehne Royal 213B videoed yesterday. Feel free to take a look at it and get in touch if you're interested. He has a really interesting pedigree too. His first calves are coming in January and we're very excited to see what he produces...
Hello. :)
You don't happen to have a higher resolution image? I think that's a lot of the issue with this image is the resolution isn't large enough and it's slightly pixelated.
I'm not a part of the ASA, but I have used that system for the CLA (Canadian Limousin Assoc.) and absolutely love it! Is it the most friendly system out there... likely not, but what I like is it gives me the ability to sit down at my computer and work through weaning numbers etc... as it...
We are very excited for our Biss Element 79 x Eionmor Lily 43Z.
Lily is due first part of January. Hoping for a heifer calf. I seen a few Element 79 heifers and drool over them.
Really nice bull! Looks to be pretty wide based and smooth enough. I love that he has that shot of Theodore in him, but he's still very much a meat machine. It'll be interesting to see what you get for calves out of him. (thumbsup)
Hi everyone,
Well I went out on a limb and AI'd one of my best cows (in my opinon) to Weebollabolla Theodore T85 for a 2015 calf. I was hoping so badly for a heifer calf, but I was given a bull calf. At the time I was slightly disappointed as I'd like to expand on the cow's bloodline, but as...
I agree Okatoks. I think if he's bred to the right type of cow the potential there could be quite exciting! I think the embryo's you've noted will do very well I am sure of it. I believe he has an exceptionally short gestation as well.
As far as I know the daughters, once in production were his true strength. They were high production types with a good amount of milk. He also seemed to excel in carcass traits as far as quality and marbling. I am not sure how the direct 80C daughters fed, but we have several grand daughters of...
Thanks for the suggestion Justintime. I know I had mentioned it to them a few years ago and they had said the same thing. I could always touch base with them and see if they have any left. I agree, that bull was born well ahead of his time. I wish I could have seen him in the flesh. I agree! If...
I was wondering if anyone has some Eionmor Mr. Gus 80C semen kicking around that's available for Canada? I'd even consider a son of the 80C bull.
Thanks in advance!
I admire the australian shorthorn breeders with just how many easy doing, high yielding and in general very sound honest cattle they produce. They produce some exceptional cattle. Looks like they are working well in your herd Okotoks! (thumbsup)
