We really appreciate every prayer we can get.  Tamara was diagnosed with a brain tumor that is inoperable last week.  I completely expect a miracle.  Again thank you for the prayers.

Mark, thank you for the kind words.  Kids grow up way to fast and my son is becoming a young man that I am very proud of.  I am a little ashamed to admit that I had not read the article until after it was published. He was asked to do the article at the last minute and was up for the task. 

My best calves are out of simplify and a Sull Payday son. 

We thought he looked very good at Kansas City.  But it was a cow show and they do not always go the way you want them too.  The good thing about it is there usually another show a few weeks later. 

Here is an updated picture of the Red Reward son we are showing. 

Kevin had a bull he called Amazon.  He was never used much and Kevin did not want to sell him.  I thought he was as good of a bull as I had seen.  I saw several calves out of him and some simmy cows that were very good.

I agree with Justin not every thing is going to work for everyone.We have a very modest barn and set up and we just use fans.  We have a misting system set up in our barn but it just added to much moisture to the air and we ended up with to many fungus issues.  We are in Northeast Oklahoma and...

Is it just me or do the entry fee's for the Junior Nationals seem high?

It was a good sale.  The sale always trends kinda in between the commercial market and the purebred market.  Nice set of cattle that sold reasonably well. 

They showed the Purebreds and pluses at the same time so these numbers would include both.  In the Junior heifer show there was 35 head, open heifer 50 head and 13 in the bull show.

This past week I saw some 5 weight black ai sired heifers weaned 30 days bring an even buck.  Also so some decent young pairs bring $975 a pair. It is going to be tough this winter.
