Hi, I have always shown cattle, but this yr my show steer got hurt and I can't show him so I decided to branch into pigs. Any tips on what to feed and should I get crossbred or purebred? Also, what does a typical good show pig bring? Our fair stars July 10th, when should pigs be born?

My show steer has been lame for past two weeks, vet thinks its something in his joints. Any good joint supplements out there? Once he stretches and walks for awhile, he tracks fine but when he first gets up, he is stiff. Any advice is appreciated :)

Heres the deal.... our county fair weigh in is july 10th. Right now our steer weighs 1370. He is gaining 3 pds. A day and he. Is only on 14 pds of show chow... advice? We figure he should weigh round 130 or so at weigh in. So should we keep feeding and then shrink him down for weigh in!  How do...

How much do the Alarm systems from Cool Calf cost? We are looking at putting in a cooler and from what I have heard an alarm system sounds like cheap insurance.

We got 35 days until our county fair and I put our two steers on Epic about 5 days ago. They are up to the suggested amount (1 1/2 cups full)  but wondering if what is the max. we can feed them? They are also on rice bran (2 pounds a day per calf)and cottonseed hulls (2 Pounds a day per calf)...
