Wanted to bump this thread to ask those of you out there who have WS A Step Up calves in your herds, how do they do as cows? I've had a couple females that I wasn't incredibly impressed with their milk production, wanted to see if that was just my bad luck, or if it had been seen in other herds...
Yeah it is hard to argue with Duff's ability to put some power and flesh on them. Not a bad idea at all WSF. I'll certainly take a look, if not for this year then maybe next.
From what I have seen and read, it seems like you are not the only one that thinks that Gargan. On another thread I saw someone say they have heard he can make them a little shallow footed. Think I would have any issues with her? Another Bismarck son Brilliance crossed my mind, and after digging...
It has been discussed on here before, but what do people think about Bush Unbelievable vs his sire SAV Bismarck? Any reason to use one over the other keeping this heifer in consideration? I have heard so many good things about both that I am just curious what people have found to work for them...
What have you thought of your bankroll calves? County O is putting out some truly incredibly heifers lately! Bankroll is sporting a big ol head on him, sounds like you've seen that in his calves as well?
Thanks for the input WSF! You always have great answers for me. I have really been considering County O. My goal is to make big broody females. I couldn't agree more about the neck. Pays to believe is another awesome option. I haven't looked into the other two very much, I will get researching...
Anybody have opinions/experience using either of these two Loaded Up sons? If you have used both, is there one you prefer over the other and why? Just trying to get ready for spring breeding!
Bring on the pictures, thoughts, pros, cons etc.
As usual, thanks to everybody for giving their two...
Thanks for the feedback! I really like the look of Hammertime, and his dam. I'll take a look at the pic. It says a lot that you kept him back for cleanup though. Have any more bred back to him?
