How about sand? than cover it with mulch?...

Unfortunately for us we have concrete in a couple of our indivizual pens.  Normally we put about 3-4 feet of wood chips in them, but they seem to get wet pretty easily and were always replacing with new.  What do people use mulch wise to elimate this problem?

Signed up for a lease on Trausch's bull Cotton Eye Joe and im very excited for this young bull and i think he will do a lot of good with the type of cows we have.  What do you all think?

She drinks from her mommy, breaths fine and walks around.. My concern is that she is not swolling the straw. When I took them blobs out her mouth was back to normal.. She is not monkey mouthed so I'm a little confused..

So i was going outside to treat a baby heifer calf and i looked over and another little calf has its mouth open and drooling with swollen mouth, i put my finger in her mouth and pulled out 3 big clumps of chewed up straw. Should i be concerned?

Had a red alabama slammer heifer last weekend. wicked haired huge boned and a massive hip already, and shes only a week old!.. Has anybody seen any calves out of him yet?

This heifer is a Thunder( Lute on a purebred Charlais cow ) and the dam side is a tyson.  She has been weaned from the cow for a little over a month and has been growing and eating like crazy.  This heifer is wicked haired, stout, huge boned, pretty, and very sound.  We are asking 2,000 or best...
