Had one at our place - not ours but some guys left their load. It was a PB simm heifer that calved and it was very small - probably under 65 pounds.

We have a Thriller son out of a Rainmaker cow. He has only had one calf but it was a pretty good heifer out of a Macho granddaughter.

I saw Choppin Wood a couple days before they pronounced him dead. So don't know about him. We had a good steer out of a Habanero Granddaughter and Bodacious. Flushed her to Bodacious last spring and got 6 eggs, put in 3.

Yes those genetics throw color. Heatseeker is half shorthorn.

The heifer at the bunk is out of a Northern Improvement first calf heifer. The steer was out of a Peer Pressure (Dr. Who) first calver.

We had good luck with Breathe Easy. Nice functional calves.

Appreciate your input BTDT. The calf is out of our bull. Like Mark said he bred the cow. I'm leaning towards steering him. We only spring calve so he was very late. He will be around this winter.

That seems kinda harsh for a painkiller - on a calf that was injured.

This is a recent pic of the Touchdown steer that will show at our fair. He was out of a PB jakes proud jazz first calver. Starting to grow now. Weigh in is today..hope he weighs 1000.

Here's one out of a Heatseeker cow. He's really cool, have to see how he ends up.
