    HELP! Weird situation!

We have a calf that is acting different than I've ever had one act specifically to halter breaking. He was a little nervous at first but you can lead him into the wash rack wash, he stands fine then you can also walk him into the Cool room and tie him up and leave him.  He stands tied fine and...

    Wash rack grates???

Putting in a big wash rack and putting in a trough with a grate over to catch pooling water. I've got all the drainage figured out. But, my question is, where to buy removable grates that don't break the bank? Anyone have any suggestions?

? Opinion on the bull Grizzly ?

I've been using Grizzly on clubby bred females to get more maternal calves. I haven't ever had to pull one, and they aren't real big. But, most of them are pretty thick. I wouldn't use him on a heifer. But, I'm ultra conservative on what I breed heifers too. I really like Grizzly calves. I've...

Barn floor ideas alternative to Cedar Fiber

Those would both be great ideas... Problem is I'm in West Texas and granite isn't common. So I think that would get pricey. I'm considering a clay based road mix without the rock. I've been told if you keep it wet down it doesn't blow. And it isn't supposed to harden up.

Barn floor ideas alternative to Cedar Fiber

Building a new barn. 70x50. It will have a wash rack and clipping room with concrete. Also it will have a large fan pen with cedar fiber. The middle will be pretty wide open and used to different things through out the year, as we transition from getting babies ready to sell, to heifers, then to...

    Believe In Me

I'm a pretty big fan of Believe In Me. I have used him on a variety of cows and it had a lot of success. Typically I use him on purebred Angus or Sim/Angus cows. Have also seen him on a Brangus cow and it made a Champion American. I have a neighbor that uses him exclusively on Hoodoo Charolais...

Low birth weight bulls for club calf heifer???

Hi, I am about to start breeding a group of heifers I kept from last calf crop. I kept 40. Some are very clubby and some are just good we'll balanced females. I was wanting to get some input on some bulls to use on them. My main concern is to get a live calf on the ground and keep the heifers...
