    Getting started

From the semex book Dakota gold or one in the chamber would be my choice, not really many options if you are looking to get some chrome into those calves, however Red White and Roan could do that for you but you would need to contact Kurtis Reid for that,  all this assuming your cows are black

Black oil sunflower seed as supplement

I have a friend who feeds the black oil sunflower seeds (whole) to her show horses.  They are fat and shiny.  I'm sure that it would work for cattle as well.

    livestock trailers

we actually bought a used Jamco yesterday, its only 15 miles down the road from our place, its not what we set out for however we are thinking down the road we may want to upsize so for now this 20 foot will do the job. Haylage vs regular hay

In our area(Ontario, Canada) lots of people bale the first cut as dry hay, but because of un predictable weather as summer gets later, quite a few will bale all second/third cuts as baleage. With our cold winters it does wonders to keep great condition on the cows thru till spring calving. Last...

    Hotels for Denver

This will also be our first trip to Denver, but we are staying at the Renaissance Denver (by Marriott).  They apparently have a shuttle that runs every hour to and from the show.  Reasonable prices.

    Ford Ecoboost

for any of you thinking about going to a gas 1or 3/4 ton I will say the fuel mileage is terrible, I got a 6 litre gm gas in a 2500 hd and it only gets about 8 mile per gallon not pulling anything and about 9 mile per gallon pulling a 16 foot steel trailer loaded with cows and calves. I know the...

    Ford Ecoboost

the eco boost Is definatly not meant to pull with much more then the odd day per year, fuel economy sucks while doing so  and tghey are way too lite in the rear they sway all over the road with live loads that move around. if it were me I and I did not want a 3/4 ton I would get a ram 1/2 ton...

    Generac GP7500E Generator

A blower generally runs at 13-16 amps, 16(amps) X 120(volts) =1920(watts) ,  so if your looking to run a couple blowers you are laughing with a 7500 running watt generator.
