Pones too big but middle not filled out

Thank you for the replies! She is definitely not overweight/over conditioned but I guess genetic wise she just gains fat in the pone area and just doesn’t have that rib shape that some judges want. I already feed her  Bermuda hay & I will give what you suggested a try!

Pones too big but middle not filled out

Only in our second year of showing. We have a 17 month old beefmaster who is 60 days bred & eats about 12lbs of show feed a day mixed from a local dealer & hay.  We were told yesterday her far pones (hopefully I’m saying that right) are too big but her middle is too flat sided & needs to be...

I might have moved a little two fast with her because she was doing so great. She was no trouble to break in the beginning she just started leading. We even...

    Heifer Reverted

I swear she is the most stubborn thing I have ever met lol. I will try the tying up & leading to water. Was thinking of buying the spike chain for under her chin when leading her but don’t know much about them or if they have been successful in getting them to lead.

    Heifer Reverted

First year showing and we have a Brahman Heifer that is about a year old. My daughter is 9 years old & Everything was going great and she was leading good & had been to about 4 shows. She has always been an "only cow" up until about two weeks ago when my other daughter got her young heifer. Ever...
