    best floor surfaces

(pop)if you plan on keeping fans on them, and rinsing regularly then I would keep them tied down during the day. Gets them used to being tied down, and keeps them in front of the fans.

    best floor surfaces

If you can find them locally cedar fiber bedding works very well for absorption, keeps smell down. Iv always used about a 2 foot wide strip of rubber mats toward the front so they don't start digging.

    Beet Pulp adding Top?

Any recommendations for adding top? I know it is more genetic than anything but my current heifer could use all the help she can get for her top.

    Undecided on a bull

IF your looking for PB char, I'd look into the gun smoke bull Matt lautner is currently advertising. Seems to click well with the cows with clubby in them.

Adding Belly - precon, winning fill

Any tips on what to look for in a young heifer for having a big belly as a big heifer? That would help greatly in picking a show heifer to buy!

Steer show classifications...is it time to change?

But those "angus" steers sired by monopoly are not breaking any rules. It doesn't matter what there pedigree is they fit the classification. To me it would seem the real problem is that the guidelines for classifications are a little off. If a monopoly steer ever makes into angus they are not...

What to flush shorthorn cow to?

I'd wait to see how her first calf ends up. But I have been very impressed with the few Italian stalions I have seen, I think he would make amazing shorthorn plus calves.

    show steer? *updated pictures*

Looks to be a great steer, in a heifer you are looking to make them look as long and feminine as can be, with a steer you want to maintain as much hind quarter and shoulder mass while keeping his middle and top line balanced out to make that complete package look.

    MAB club calf sire?

No personal experience, but from everything I have read and seen, they are killer prospects, not the best when they are fat.

    Cloning bulls

I don't believe a Sraw of semen is enough, for cloning they collect a cell line from the calfs ear. Not 100% on this but I don't think this is even possible.

    New heifer

Figured I would do another small update, she is still growing well. I will be breeding her December first to a step up, which is a purebred Simmental.

    grow and shine

Not sure how much to use per day as I don't mix my feed, but I starting feeding it at the start of July when I put him in the cooler, and 2 bottles will last me to the end of October. It's has been working really well but I feed hide and hair as well as keeping him in a 45 degree cooler from...

    New heifer

Iv been thinking just a low birth weight angus, with her clubby genetics and size I don't want to ruin her on her first calf, but I still got a few months to think about that! Snapped a pic of her in the pasture today, thought she was looking more and more like a cow instead of a steer
