    Sullivan foamer help

The water pressure tips make a big difference!  Check to make sure the intake tube is not clogged and then put the low pressure tip on.  That fixed my problem just recently when I bought a new foamer.  Sometimes, if your shampoo is too thick, I add a little water into the shampoo and mix it up...

    Best show calf feed?

That just means adding something extra for that animal at each feeding; not mixing it into your entire ration.  If you need help finishing one, you can't go wrong adding Stabilized Rice Bran.  You can buy it at Tractor Supply - it's a horse fat supplement.  It puts a nice smooth finish one a...

How to correct heifer leaning forward while showing

I'm not sure, but I had the same thought - have to ask them.  I do remember this same family had a limmi a couple of years ago, that did the same thing, I let them use our pronged lead, and it corrected.  That may be the issue.

How to correct heifer leaning forward while showing

A friend of mine’s son has a heifer that tends to stick her head forward while being shown. Instead of holding her head up, she extends her neck and sticks her nose in the air. It just looks goofy. Anyone have any suggestions to correct this?  He has tried a regular lead chain and a pronged lead...

Opinions on Pre-Con for steers: Use/Amount/Etc

We feed 50/50 feed and precon to our heifers.  If they start to get too fat, we'll go 60/40 with precon.  Does a great job with rib shape and depth on heifers.  Assume it would do the same for steers, but not sure what ratio precon to feed you would use for steers.

Repainting Stall dividers - any suggestions for easiest way to tackle this?

I bought a set of used steel stall dividers.  (I know aluminum is lighter, but did not want to hassle with the gray smudges down the side of my all white shorthorn.)  I got a really good deal on these, mainly because they need to be repainted.  Has anyone every tackled this chore?  Any...

New to me-- Calf born with cleft palate

We had our first a couple of years ago.  Could not nurse.  We tried bucket feeding him, but while he was drinking, most of the milk was coming out of his nose.  He couldn't breathe, so would stop feeding.  We tried tubing him for 2-3 days.  Someone said as they get older they will likely...
