Yes, because he is 1/2 maine so any calves out of him would be at least 1/4 maine which is all it takes to get registered mainetainer

Ok, I was just curious.  We got her clipped up today and she looks pretty good, she's really put it on since state fair! Are you guys planning on going to the show?

Does anyone know if you have to have registration papers to show as a breed or if they can just be entered as a breed without having the papers with you?

We have a couple heifers that on the farm drink well water, but whenever we go to shows that don't have well water (all of them) they won't drink the water. They will stick their nose down in it and then not touch it after that no matter how long we try to keep them from water so they get...

With a steer that has the title of "cheap" and looks as good as this one does, I sure as hell wouldn't mind someone asking me how much I paid for the calf honestly. Well done with the steer (literally)  (lol)

I dont know what kind of dye you use, but you can get a bottle of dye for one calf cheaper than you can get the shedding comb

50$ for a straw is perfectly reasonable for him imo, hes proven that he is worth it with a great set of calves on the ground and in the ring now

You really need to pour the feed to him.....whats his DOB? because 650 for this time of year and fair around the same time as ours is cutting it a little close on the small side imo

M.T.G. (Mane Tail Groom) is what i use to get hair growing back, its a horse hair product, smells like burnt bacon, but it works.....rub it on the spots, and you'll see hair growing back really quick
