    Removing stains.

I've shown Charolais cattle and Shorthorns. I think GreenSpot stain remover (Can get it at a big R or tractor supply co.) or Cowboy Magic (same) work the best. You could use it before you wash, or if your calf lays in poop at a fair after a wash. You don't even have to rinse it out. Just spray...

    lighting up a chute

I've seen people zip tie extenstion cords to the top part of the chute on each side and use plug in lightbulbs and it  makes clipping so much easier.

    calf color question

It can really end up being anything. I bred a redfactor char with eyecandy and got a light gray smoke. The calf could end up being a cream color like the mother or even all white, though the all white is probably more than likely.

    Calves losing hair

We had the same problem, it's probably just the weather changes...but we poured them again. We have  a fly/lice/tick pour that works well and doesn't kill their hair either. It it is dry skin, try conditioning if they are show cattle.

    Favorite Heifer Bull

I like Eye Candy. We had a hereford cow have a 75 pound black baldie who looks amazing. Then my first time heifer had a smokey heifer, about 70 pounds without assitance. He tends to have more females, the black baldie heifer has amazing hair and that sure isn't from her mother.

    Pantene?

I've seen people use dove, suave, dawn, and joy soaps but i've never seen pantene. we personally use treseme or sometimes mane and tail both which are sometimes bogo at walgreens. you get weird looks when you check out at walgreens with 8 bottles of soap and hair dye though.

    Sullivan's wave tamer

works really good. I used on a milkman steer and a charolais heifer so it doesn't seem to make a difference depending on hair t ype
