Hello fellow planet-eers I need some help.  I have been approached by the local cattlemens association to make them shirts to sell at the fair.  The want a sort of top ten list on the back but they want ones that are geared toward just the beef farmer/producer side of the business not the show...

I hope I am not asking a silly question but... Does everyone use the "group" tie outs, not set up at your trailer? I only ask cause we haven't been to the shorties before (only the chimaines) and we could tie out at the trailer... Just wanting to kinda know what to do before we get there Sunday...

That is a great quote to share with my nephew who as a freshman this year is right at six foot and still growing.  Last year we thought he was making his little (young) calf look even littler by being beside her... Good tip, Sir!

The heifer that the nephew is showing this year...she is an I-80 out of a Sin City (the black one) and a past 4H project cow, the red shortie. He wants to make his own steer for 4H or a quality heifer he can show.  Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much.  We only feed a total of 4 cups of the corn a day (2 am, 2 pm)  I think my regular size crock pot would work. lol.  So...on the low or warm heat setting all day?  And I assume you add enough water to cover it, or more? I am so glad someone asked this question!!

Thanks for the post, I have wondered about this method.  We have been feeding steamed corn to my nephews steer... would I use that in the crock pot or regular corn?

Bang for your buck... Rowe.  Beats Umbarger in my area by almost $4.  Does great on heifers... on the other hand, I think Umbarger puts the finish on...but is higher.  Good luck ;)

I hate to hear you are having trouble with Glu Coat.  This is our first year of trying it and our steer took to it like a duck to water!  He tries to lick it out of the cup when I am pouring it on his feed!  Now what I can't attest to is the results.  I can't really tell if it is doing anything...
