PaFFa you should be very proud of yourself for the hard work that you have put in. Your calf has come along very well and I hope that you do well, but I'm afraid that him being a bull for so long has him looking stagy and I'm afraid that he'll stand down some places B/C of it. Being a bull so long also make it extremely hard to get the kind of finish that most judges are going to be looking for. It's a pure shame IMO that it has happened to you this way and I hope that I am totally wrong B/C you have came so far with your projects.
Also take heed in what OH Breeder is telling you about the timing of the hoof trimming. I like to get them trimmed 30 preshow date, that way if the trimmer gets a little short he has time to heal. If you are only a short week out and he gets too close, he may come up lame for the show. I hope that you don't feel that I am bashing your steer B/C I am really proud of what you have accomplished with him and I am just a bit upset with the PPL that you bought him from missing the testicle and now I think that your chances of doing the best that you could have are jeopardized B/C of their mistake. JMHO. Good luck Brittany

I totally agree with you on that, its been in the back of my head but hey what can I do?  Hopefully a clip might help him out a little. All I can do is just keep working on him and hope for the best! Im going to see about getting his feet trimmed soon. Hey its only $10 ;D

So with his stagger look would a neck sweat work to make him more presentable?
IMO, no. A very good clip job on his neck will be your best way to help that area, but it is just going to be tough to make him not have the stag look to him @ this stage of the game. You are absolutely right about having to just move ahead with what you have now.
