Muddy Creek Show Cattle: Are the jjs really that good whats best about them?? what best does he work on what kinna cow or heifer??
I just think that overall the JJ calves do not lack the power that most calves out of heifer bulls do, they also usually have good hair and are correct. Also from what I have heard they come small even out of the clubby heifers, member on here by name of "Zach" had great luck with him on his clubby heifers.  I am not sure I would use him on cows just because there are better options (eye candy, mono money, bodacious, bojo, etc....) but I would use him on pretty much any heifer clubby or PB.

Ok thank you is he better than i80?? If
In my opinion he is better because he is safer. I80 may have slightly better calves but I have heard of some train wrecks out of him. Now this may just be because I80 was used way more than JJ so far, but as of now from what I have heard he (JJ) is more true calving ease.

If you are breeding your heifers for added bone, power, or substance-- you have your priorities in the wrong order.

Exactly, just breed for a live calf. Worry about the bone and stuff later on. I believe JJ is the closest you can get to "bone and power" and be safe with a healthy calf.

He's been used on heifers for multiple years without major issues by multiple breeders.

Thanks

I will go ahead and do my shameless promotion of our proven easy calving, heifer safe Maine bull Montego Bay. He has not only proven himself as low birth weight, but also for producing calves with plenty of muscle, a cool look, tons of hair, and very marketable. If you compare his pedigree to I80, they are very similar, but for almost half the money. There are several here on steerplanet that can back me up on this.

Shameless self promotion concluded now.  (lol)

I'll second the ZNT Montego Bay suggestion. I purchased an awesome show heifer out of him, she was just complete, and had an insane amount of hair!
I've seen multiple calves that were out of him and they were all really good.
He should definitely be at the top of everyone's lists.

I think that Jsar Titan is somewhat young but does anyone know if he has producing daughters and if they are very maternal? Good milkers etc?
