Has anyone used this bull? I am considering using him on some Angus heifers to make replacements.

I have 4 calves on the ground by Heads up.  3 are out of angus, and the fourth out of a commercial maine cow.  They come small with lots of vigor and mature quickly.  I like them.  Like you I am going for replacements.  My angus ones are better than my one maine at this point.  One heifer in particular is really nice.  Very cool front 1/3...which is why I tried him.  I bred him to a couple clubby cows also, but they are 8 days past due so not sure I'm going to get anything there.  For what its worth I put a straw under a microscope and the semen quality was as good as it gets.    My calves are about 10-14 days old.

Thanks for the info.  I would use him on some Angus heifers. Do you have any picks of the calves? I used Whizard on some Angus heifers this year and I was impressed with him. The first three were heifers and all are keepers. I still have twelve more to hit the ground.

I'll have some time to get some pictures on Friday, I'll post some then.

We have a super nice 3/4 blood bull out of a Pacesetter cow. I do not have any current pictures of him, but I can tell you he has no white, and at 120 days, I bet he does not weigh much under 500 pounds. He is a horse!

The ones that I have seen have been very attractive and cool fronted with adequate depth of body and stoutness. The thing that I don't like is that the Heads Up calves tend to be shorter hipped and tighter flanked. I would use him to add dimension to your flatter made more common cows.
