Show Stopper,

All I needed to do what look up that reg number given to identify the culprit of the inconsistencies.  Have you been missing ejoes post? Did you miss the 1 for 5 comment?  What a coincidence- the same problems I pointed out just from looking at his pedigree just so happened to be the problems being reported by those who've used him.  Guess I'm just a lucky guesser.

Keep up the good fight, Cattle Cards. It's easy to recognize your cattle sense in this sea of suburbia club calf kids.

That's exactly what Lautners game plan is. And I'll be following suit.
The livestock (show) industry is a tough one- if you've never had anything worth a damn you might as well go on the internet and rundown everybody you can.

I80's won't make cows...they will make show heifers. He in no way should be called maternal.

Cattle Cards, don't let some of these guys bother you, you breed for show cattle, they breed commercial cattle. I have seen your pictures and are some very nice calves, honestly I have not thought of using JJ until I read this post and seen some pictures of his calves. Has made me think about using JJ on some of my heifers as I am impressed with the pictures of his calves. Thinking about buying a cane of him and using him on some heifers. Cattle Cards keep doing what you are doing, your calves are looking good.

Thank you to Big M and Xbar.  Yes, I'm trying to raise Reg. Chianina show heifers.  After I get a few of these Jesse James heifers, I breeding to Mr. Who Da Man 322Y, National Champion Chianina Bull.  He is by Who Da Man and out of a Destiny's Ace cow.  Proven Chianina genetics.  I'm not breeding to a son of a son of a son of a club calf bull who's, dam is untraceable...I'm not trying to complete in the club calf market because even if I had one of the best calves around, someone would by it for 2k, sell it for 5K and that person would sell it for 20K and somehow it'll win and the credit will all go to one a a couple people in the steer business, not me.  I have no delusions of selling high dollar steers.  But I know I can breed good producing, good looking females that should be able to compete.  I did it with Simmental heifers when I was in high school.  I am determined to do it again here.  Thanks to everyone who has been supportive of me.

QF, would mind starting another thread on this topic?  In my opinion its a bold statement to make and I would like to hear what your experiences have been with I80 daughters as momma cows or why you think they will not have good maternal instincts.

 Thanks in advance

Had 4 Jesse calves this year out of heifers, didnt have to help a one and all under 75 pounds.  And incredibly hairy for a free bull. One standout heifer out of a Bojo X Draft Pick heifer that is gonna do something big for somebody.
What do show cows dream of, when they take a little show cow snooze.
