When freeze branding cows, are there any negatives to branding cows if they are within 60 days of calving?  I did a google search and found a lot on procedure but nothing on cows that were pregnant. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I gave the penicillin after I noticed the knots. She has not had a shot in 35 days since I ai'd her. The knots are not hard. They are kind of spongey. Does not feel like water in the knots. They are the same on both sides, placement , texture and size.

I have a 10 yr old cow with a knot on both sides of the neck in the same place. About the size of my fist. She has a 4 month old calf on her.  I gave a shot of penicillin. Is this lymph nodes or has anybody seen this?
