    Special prayer/thought request

Oh no!  Poor Joe has had so much go wrong in the past few months, and now this, and hantavirus is ugly.  I sure hope he is ok.

    working through this heat

44 Eeeeeeek.  I'm glad I'm not back there.  Here I was dreading Ontario's humid summer and it has actually been unseasonably cool with the exception of a week or too.  Hooray. I'm a wimp in heat, and so i solved it by becoming a lazy student with an air conditioned office (dingy as all get...

    Fitting

I would probably stay away from shaving cream, as I think that would tend to make the hair more curly.  The best way to deal with that style is to have your hair really really well trained.  I don't know how long you have to go until your fair, but however long it is, get brushing  ;D I second...

I'm going to use Ed for black gene, e for the red, and E+ for wild type (comes from http://homepage.usask.ca/~schmutz/colors.html where they talk about it, and where I'm basing this discussion off of). If EdE+ animals come out black, then crossing E+E+ animals to each other shouldn't result...

You know, I'm not really that much further than you on understanding the wild gene....just that it can sort of act as a bare template for all those "funny colours" (ie the jerseys, those strange muddy calves, etc.).  There would be a 25% chance on that mating that the calf would be wild/wild...

    Interesting thoughts

Found it now.....and put it in the right thread (somehow that didn't happen yesterday). 2004 Can Western Agribition Prospect Heifer Champion (think she also did very well in Maine show) was Maine sired, Galloway dam. http://showchampions.com/image_bank/image_zoom.aspx?image=6449

I didn't know they got into Red Angus now.  I used to show against their kids (not that I was much competition for them  ;)) in 4-H and they always had nice heifers.

    Interesting thoughts

I know of quire a few Galloway here in Canada and while, yes, we have cold winters, the summers are hot, and I don't know that anyone has a problem with them. Ok Browarny's site isn't working...I wanted to post a picture  >:(

    Adhesive??

I think I'm strangely allergic to one of them but haven't really figured out which...prime time is my best guess.  I've always found the E-Z comb adhesive handy to have around....

    Fair Entertainment

Hmmm our fair isn't that big.  We have the GX94 Star Search Finals - a singing competition waaay older than any idol :P  Some midlevel talents maybe, that I probably wouldn't pay attention to.  Most of the stage entertainment is later in the week anyway, and the calves are done on the first...

Our UGLY calve, is there hope for him?

Ah but this one has tricked you.  See I bet when you look for a "rat tail" you naturally look at the tail.  But remembering that white hair is unaffected, and seeing that his switch is white, you just say...aww tricky.  The look of the hair and the description of the very thin back hair is a...
