As far as Shorthorns go I honestly don't know enough about the breed or bloodlines to know what bulls would be good options.  I'm assuming that a lot of the ones that are built like clubbies would not be a good choice.  Also are there any simmentals that you think would work.

Im wondering what bulls would work on some clubby cows to produce some replacements that will be a little more practical yet still produce a good show steer.  Im not sure what bulls would make good foundation type cows for making show steers.  I was looking at Style, Primo, Firewater, Steel...

Is this bull as good as the price of his semen reflects or is he just another overpriced bull,  what is he working on I like him but I don't know if I like him that much.

Had a heifers out of a Monopoly cow probably 60# nursed within 30 minutes growing well.  I'm going to use him again this year on an I-80 heatwave cow.

Has anyone castrated one this old and tried the beef I'm wondering if it is too late and the meat will be off tasting.  He is probably 900 pounds andI would like to get him up to 1275 - 1300 pounds, I just don't want to waste my time and be disappointed with the meat.  I thought I could sell...

Thank you everyone for your input I think I feel a little bit better.  I've just never had one go this far past its due date.  I'll post pics when she freshens.

I have a Meyer 734 ET calf I think a week overdue.  We implanted the embryos on June 28th so what date would I consider the breed date to determine calving due date.  I came up with March 29th, I guess I'm just nervous because this is my first ET calf.

She is thf.  My main concern is bw being this will be her 2nd calf I like the idea of IGWT

What are people breeding to their dakota gold cows mine just had a nice I-80 heifer this will be for her 2nd calf.  My goal is for a good show steer.  I was thinking I-67, bearcat, I-Believe, and 2nd to none.  I'm a little concerned about BW on those last 2 but what does everyone think.

I have a Dakota gold heifer and at weaning time her attitude was horrible, she was the most flighty calf I've ever had she was afraid of her own shadow.    But , after 2 weeks of working with her and taking her to one show she is the only animal I've ever had that I can walk up to and will wrap...

I was told last year of a few local people who were going to use him on heifers because he is an I 80 son but I didn't hear how it worked out for them.  I haven't seen a single picture of a calf out of the bull or heard anything for that matter.  I'm just curious what people know or have seen...

Has anyone used him what kind of birth weights did you have, and what cows did you use him on?  I was wondering if he was safe to use on heifers?  I have a witch doctor / black label heifer I thought about breeding to him.
