I have the same problem with heifers every year
You can get a calf and walk in front of her and it should help
Or this year we had one broke to work and wouldn't bolt so we took her to a 3 day show and that broke her, the turning point was after she had been in chute for 3 hours then walked a...
I didn't realize that I need to call the associations to get my heifer triple registered
Shorthorn plus, PB angus, and PB Charolais
Her price tag just went up
No the bull should not be slicked sheared because they are in denver in January?
Cattle prefer 20 degree weather when they have hair. Not 5 degree weather when they are sheared on one side
Bottom line they are putting that bull through something that it doesn't need to go through
And I agree on...
I'm not a Hereford guy at all, and by that I mean I can't stand them. But I really like this steer and he has really transformed from when you bought him. From his look I bet he is sound enough. Great buy
Jmo I think it was a stupid idea. First off you are in Denver in January having these bulls out in the unpredictable weather. Second off el toro isn't good enough to display as slick shear
Im pretty sure matt doesn't have many bulls that appeal to the slick shear people and he is being a little...
From a stand point of someone who is working in the picture pen I recommend one with two different ways to get in and out of the pen, makes it more effiecent if you have a way for them to enter and a way for them to exit
You also want different things on different sides of the pen, such as trees...
He is a great looking steer I'm really curious to why he got the gate if the judge only he said he was coming on quick. I also feel like holding him for Denver or Texas would be a push espicially if the judge is saying he is coming on too quick how fresh are you going to be able to make him...
I was trying to register my plus heifer before hbc and I couldn't really figure out how to even register as a member really
I just said screw it and showed her as a commercial but I really don't put that's time into it maybe I should try harder before Kentucky rolls around
I have a question...
What about renegade blues? I have always like his look espicially with the roan but how are his heifers, I imagine his steers arnt near as powerful as a monopoly or believe in me an would the red roan on blue roan throw a blue roan calf?
And sorry for not adding on your bulls you listed.
If I remeber right someone said in a thread that back in the 80's a dyed Charolais won Denver not really related just a input
Now if your dying your steer to show as like a PB angus or get more of a simmi look then don't do it show the calf for it's breed but if you just want a all black calf...
Throttle up is a finisher feed and cruiser is basically to hold them
Not sure what other types of feeds you can get ahold of
We have used show rite and had good results
