I am not aware of any Knabe.  I have always wanted to go to the steer show in FW, and every single year...something comes up.  I don't believe that the FWSS will permit any streaming or broadcast of the shows.

I am not a fan of changing anything with 10 to go. Just leave a day early so you have time to gather them back up.  Feed them whatever has gotten them this far.  You just don't have enough time to be messing with anything. Just my opinion.

It's an illusion. These things are getting SO stout again.  The Champion and Reserve in KC appeared to kinda fit what you are saying, built low to the ground, not real pretty necked, etc.  Then I searched out some pictures of those 2 from earlier in the season.  They were both long necked...

Steve is right, it is as good as anything. You are right by addressing this BEFORE it gets bad.  Down side, once you start them on it you have to keep them on it until you are done showing.  It works, but is is not cheap.

There is one currently under construction in Western Nebraska now.  Cattle Feeders and Ranchers put up $100,000,000 to get it off the ground.  Very exciting time for these business people.  I am hopeful that the consumer will embrace the concept and perhaps be willing to spend a little more...

When you get one that is not blessed with a lot of hair, change your focus. Do the things you are saying, rinse, cool room, all of that. Focus on the quality of the hair you do have.  Make sure that it works well.  Yes, you would like 2" of hair, but 1/2" of really good working hair is way...
