I have had several Raven and New Edition calves and more to come yet.  All born unassisted and in the 80# range which is light for our calves.  The cows are fed corn silage year round and carry lots of condition.  I used Raven on all of the saugahatchee cows and New Edition was used on anything...

A couple of years ago we started having the kids wear ear plugs while in the barn blowing and working the calves.  With 8 fans and several blowers and the radio going it does get LOUD. They don't listen or hear very well at times now so I wouldn't want it to get worse! LOL

LOL  If my memory is correct Nero was a son of Sugar Ray.  They were just as bad.  I had fullbloods that I got along with as far as attitudes.  That was the rage at the time to have sugar ray  and nero sired steers.  I think at the time...

I showed many sugar ray's as a teenage and had a herd a chi cross cows back in the day.  Sugar Rays are one thing NUTS!  I never saw one or had one that wasn't crazy!  Even to this day if I see sugar ray in a pedigree it's not for me or anything I would want a young one to try and show.
