That is very wrong. I just finished flushing a virgin heifer and she flushed 8 freezable. As long as they are cycling normally they can flush. I should warn you that some cows don't respond to the hormones as well, so some flushes might be unsuccessful.
Anyone know how it will go? Im interested in the bred heifers and some of the maintainers opens. Its a long drive so I am wondering if it would be worth it.
thanks for the reply. I have had a pair of the older Andis (the burgundy boxier style) that were hand-me-downs from my older sister. My biggest complaints about those are that they get too hot after clipping for only a short while and they can't handle the thicker hair as well. I've tried out...
Has anyone tried these out? I'm needing a new pair of clipper and happened to see them while at the Royal. Do they stay cooler and are they quieter? Thanks.
After having a Sullivan's hose blow a hole after only having it since mid-August, I'm curious if Weavers brand hoses are better or if it's just something I have to keep putting up with? Thanks in advance.

Sorry i didn't see your reply until now. Thanks for the info! I've purchesed some embryos out of a daughter of Lucy out of that flush you are talking about and it is due later this month. Really excited about it! The heifer was the 2013 Supreme Champ at Am. Royal flushed to broker.

DSCSD there have been a few heifers in some online sales just recently or selling this week, especially on cw cattle sales. Minnaert's just sold one on cw this week that was pretty nice.
Noticed today there was an Iron Hide heifer for sale on the Pulse blog... pretty neat heifer!

Is anyone else having issues with getting on the site after about 5pm central time? Mine can load fine before that but when i finally get a chance to look at how sales ended the site won't load on many different computers & devices. I figure its because they have a few bugs with the new site but...
I know that half blood lowlines can be bred to about any bull so i would say as long as the calves aren't over 100lbs it would work. We have been thinking of using some halfbloods as recips but we will only put in embryos that are sure to be on the average or smaller.
What kind of cows are they working on? How are their calves looking & doing? Do they produce better heifers or bulls? How can semen be purchased? Thanks in advance.
