How much are the other kids spending, I have seen small fairs where people spend a lot and all want to win and I have seen where there are a lot of range steers.  Also how are auction prices I personally would not spend more than you know you will get back

when split by hip height does the judge still look at weights, if not it would stop people from shrinking down to go in a lighter weight class.

ours is 1000 sometimes there are some around 1050.  I know at one of the other fairs we show at someone had a belted Galloway a few years ago that did not make weight at that but was finished so I guess it depends on what the kids have

we have about 120 days till fair, we do not have a scale but have taped the steer at 700 he has stuck at this for about 2 months now, he is eating 9 and 1/2 lbs grain, 3/4 corn and 1/2 lb rice bran twice a day plus 1/2 flake hay.    He got wormed in March and in April Was thinking about...

our cow chews them all the time we go threw at least one halter and neck rope each fair, plus everytime she is ties for a period of time, my son is showing her calf this year and he chews on his also.  I thought about spraying it with the no chew stuff for horses or dogs has anyone tried that.
