    Silly question about heifer?

A few of our heifers that we have had calve earlier is because we wanted to show the calf. If they calve earlier it gave the calves more time to grow and get bigger. (cow)

    Joke of the Week

That's the reason For a couple years I've been blaming it on lack of sleep, not enough sunshine, too much pressure from my job, earwax buildup, poor blood or anything else I could think of. But now I found out the real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked. Here's why:. . The...

    Joke of the Week

A mother took her five-year-old son with her to the bank on a busy lunchtime.  They got behind a very fat woman wearing a business suit complete with pager.     As they waited patiently, the little boy said loudly, "Gee she's fat!"  The mother bent down and whispered in the little boys ear to...

dumb things or leaving a gate open...

I don't know if this really classifies as 'dumb' and it is certainly nothing that I did. ::) Every year there is a certain family that brings totally wild rank steers to our county weigh-in in Feb. Fun Calf Names

We tend to name ours after well known people or characters in movies. I had a huge steer one year, so I named him Arnold after Cali's governor. Last year it was Harry and Lloyd (from dumb and dumber). We've also had a Pancho and Lefty, Mambo (from the song Mambo #5) things like that.

    Democratic Takeover?

Yea the calf in my profile pic is mine. She's a Strictly Business daughter. Hoping for a Hardcore baby this spring ;D. I hate to say it (being female and all), but I don't think I would vote for a female president...I agree with Cowz, I don't think she has what it takes to fix what Bush has...

    Joke of the Week

A friend just got back from a holiday skiing trip to Utah where the Conditions were perfect...12 below, no feeling in the toes, basic numbness all over...the "Tell me when we're having fun" kind of day. One of the women in the group complained to her husband that she was in dire need of a rest...

    Democratic Takeover?

I'm really happy with the Democratic take over. I am a very strong Republican but, Bush has screwed things up. I'm not happy with the way he is handling things and he needs to go. I however will not vote for Hillary. Maybe Obama, but not Hillary. ;)
