    Shorthorn Bulls of the Past

Wow.  I figured they would have thrown it away. When he was born.  I thought what a sorry little calf.  Then at 4 months he started developing to the coolest calf I had seen in a while.he was not huge boned.  Like all heifer bulls he was just average boned.  We named him snappy because of his...

Do you know someone with snappy semen.  Yes he would be heifer safe. His birthstone was upper 70's.  I was headed to promote him as heifer safe. we had res champion at new Mexico state fair out of him. I gave the snappy semen to someone.  I can't remember who. He was a full brother to heifer...

    Choppin Wood- Mature Working Clothes

You can criticize this calf all you want but he sold for a lot of money.  If they wont sell and make money we wont use them. Like all bulls not all the calves are big dollars, but the top end will sell and make money for your business.

I haven't said much about the calf.  This calf broke very fast but was half tame before I started.  Sunday morning i slipped the halter over his head in the lot.  I will probably clip the 6 inch long belly hair without a stand.  He likes to be comb and nothing startles him.  Even the little...

    Ali Bull produce crippled calves?

You can breed that cow back the same way and it may never happen again.  All the genetics from show background can get too straight.  Its like lightening.  you never know when its going to strike. The genes just lined up that way this time.  May happen again  and may not. You can avoid that...

    Texas twister steer.

attitude is good.  I have rinsed him 5 times with absolutely no problems.  Just stand there.  Haltered him for the first time yesterday.  Acted like every calf that had been haltered for the first time.  Calmed down about 30 minutes into being tied up.  Does not crazy in the lot when strangers...

    New bull! Texas Tornado!!!!

I see a bull prospect I want to watch and learn more about him. From the picture above I want to evaluate to see if I can genetically match him on any of my cows.  I don't raise cattle for the show ring as a hobby.  If I can raise show steers that look like that.  I will make a lot of money.
