I saw a real good Unsub steer calf in my travels this year. Super stout, hairy, big boned, sound, and enough extension up front. Thought he was a real good calf. I tried to buy him but they wouldn't sell him until their fall sale.

I have never used black velvet, we use the Revolon Black 10 that you can by at Walmart. And no I have never burnt the hair off.

You will definitely want a 20'. I bought a 20' with a 4' tack room so there's really only 16' for stock. I have found you have to be very strategic when loading for a show. The tack room is nice to put feed and etc but I should have bought one without the tack room for the extra 4'. The next one...

We had a group of calves that did this also. I tried every thing including dish soap, and gasoline. They still chewed them. Sounds like the PVC would work. We eventually found an old chain lead that we rigged up that worked pretty well.
