    Judges' biggest grooming critiques

I have.... There was actually one judge quite a few years back that went up to the calf that had the twine basically falling off push it the rest of the way off with his boot......pretty hilarious. I would have been super mad if it was mine but then again I wouldnt have sent it in the ring like...

    Judges' biggest grooming critiques

I have heard judges knock one pretty bad for excessive twine on the legs. Not if its done correctly but when it starts to make them look unnatural. This is actually one of my pet peeves as well. When its done correctly it looks great but when its not it can really mess one up in my opinion.

    Comfort Zone Calves

He should be fine on a JJ female. Will probably add a little grow as those JJ calves seem to be smaller framed.

    Comfort Zone Calves

We have a couple and absolutely love them. They came real easy around 70-85 lbs. At first they arent much too look at but they come on real strong the older they get. Real sound and functional cattle. My partner had some last year and like them so much he bred around 75 head to him. I went and...

    Custom show cattle preparation

What are any of you paying or charging for custom show cattle preparation? I have an operation that wants us to get some cattle ready for them for Kansas City, Louisville, and Denver. These cattle would be at our place and in our barn being cared for by us and our hired hand. If you have any...

    Creep for a few calves

Hello. What is everyone using for creep feed if you are just going to creep a few head. When I was working for larger outfits or when I was still at home we used companies that would come and fill the feeders in bulk but right now I just have a few head of AI and embryo calves that I want to...

    hair volumnizer

I too was curious and bought a gallon of it a few months ago. Took it home and tried it and absolutely love it. It really makes the hair pop and as they stated above I think the drying time was reduced a bit. It also really helps keep the hide soft and will not dry out like other shampoos. I do...

    Left over fat steers

The steer would need to go out to California. The steer must still be a haired steer. We cannot take a slicked off steer. Transportation can be arranged I know quite a few trailers going to California on a bi weekly basis.  Thanks

    Left over fat steers

Does anyone know of anyone that has a steer that they have no where to go with after their "end" show? I have a family that needs one for a May fair. I can usually find one after OYE but the family I know out there is done showing. Or maybe someone has one that isn't quite ready yet that they...
